      <![CDATA[Zip there is an overwhelming amount of evidence that many (most, almost all) of the city council members are corrupt by the sense of power they get from being on the council. They may not be smart enough to figure out how to accept a proper bribe, but let it never be said that they are not corrupt in many other ways.

      <![CDATA[traffic is a problem as the plan must be changes as it is. city is not happy with entrance too close to the intersection on cooper. cooper entrance must be moved or changed to right in/ right out meaning no left turn while heading north on cooper into CVS and no left turn from CVS to head north on cooper.

      <![CDATA[What purpose do the Land Use Control Board and Office of Community Development actually serve if all a business has to do is go the City Council? I mean two no votes from boards of people with knowledge pertinent to the situation only to be overturned on a third vote from a corrupt, inept, misguided, and down right ignorant board of politicians.<br>

I don't think of myself as short sighted, but how long is a community/city/neighbor supposed to wait for this "best possible fit" instead of settling for "pretty good fit"?<br>

      <![CDATA[Had the corner of Parkway and Summer been given to Walgreens there would be a horrendous traffic jam there twice every day and it would have set a bad precedent for commercial devlopment on theParkways as a whole. The state of the beautiful apartment building next to it is a matter of neglect on the part of the owner which could be, as John points out, be taken care of by Code Enforcement.

      <![CDATA[cdel -- a poster may be able to help me out here, but there was a walgreen's proposed for that corner and the neighboring (now boarded-up) apartments to the south. Walgreen's went to north side of Summer, and the gamble on something better on the corner did not pay off, at least not yet.
