      <![CDATA[Johnclave; I think if you do a review of studies you will find that neither alcohol nor drug addiction is on the rise. We have the same number of addicts after the "war on drugs" was launched as we did before.

      <![CDATA[Yes, there is a large sobriety program component within this program...it's simply not compulsory. However according to a study from the American Medical Association, those within who did not choose sobriety did show a marked decrease in consumption at a rate of a third less after one year of living in the apartment complex...."i.e. eating better, protection from elements, no longer binge drinking to avoid the police".

      <![CDATA[Even though they may be in the throes of their addictions ,I feel as though part of the requirments of the rent agreement should be alcohol/drug classes or support group.It's mandatory for me to attend when trying to get my disability.Why shouldn't it be for the homeless?
