Congress is the entity that works out the logistics and protocol, not the social questioning per se. It is to be a head-count only for determining the number of representatives.

Next point--if you think the census questions are intrusive--go back 150 or so years ago to the "good old days" and you will really see what intrusion was--questions about race existed then, questions about income existed then, but beyond that, the government wanted to know where you worked, how many heads of livestock you owned, etc., etc.

You have the right to find whatever questions you want to be intrusive, but a little more historical reality would make your case less easily to dismiss out of hand.
