      <![CDATA[Jeff, I remember having a conversation years ago back during the XFL days (remember that aberration?), in which I proposed something similar (tongue not too far in cheek), but my talking mates, George Lapides and Steve Earhardt, both assured me that NO college team had a chance against ANY pro team, even of the ersatz variety (i.e., XFL).<br>
<br>
'Cept I remember days of yore, when the College All-Stars each pre-season played the previous season's NFL champ. Sure enough, the pros always won, but there were, I believe, one or two exceptions to the rule.

      <![CDATA[What the NFL really needs is minor leagues and a relegation system. Let the worst teams in the NFL get bumped down to the minor leagues and let the best minor league teams compete in the bigtime.
