      <![CDATA[So, speaking of snakes, I'm sitting here at the Saucer after riding my bike downtown to support a homeless initiative that's been delayed yet again and reading a hardcopy of todays Flyer wherein somepathetic tub o lard named Tommy challenges my manhood as a biker but the letter isn't online yet so I can't tell him how my welter weight irish ass would like to kick his up and down Beale--I can't get no satisfaction.

      <![CDATA[I got hold of the tail of a banded watersnake on the Ghost River last Saturday and, even though I'm usually a fearless snake handler, when the harmless little fella twisted around to take a bite at my wrist, I couldn't overcome my primal fear and let him go. There's 2 grass snakes sunning themselves on my driveway right now--think maybe I'll go practice on them.
