So much nonsense in CHG's July 24th diatribe, one hardly knows where to begin.

But let's begin with this foolishness that atheism has "no absolutes in morality." There is absolutely nothing preventing an atheist from grabbing onto some random book (let's say, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster) and using the written moral prescriptions as "absolute" just like the morally smug, Christian bible-thumpers in this part of the country do on a daily basis with their own book of fiction.

Given your inductive fallacy; have you or anyone examined all homosexuals at all times and in all places, to know that a permanent change did not or cannot occur? Polls and probability sampling are not all-inclusive.

Mr. Haspel offers criticism for Bachmann's views on porn, gay marriage, abortion, and Sharia law, yet offers no contrary, objective moral reasons. One can deduce from his arguments that he holds to an atheistic worldview which has no absolutes in morality to judge her actions as either good or bad.

The basic problem with “treatments” to change homosexuality is that they don’t work (apart from doing a lot of harm, which may be their real intention). They have the same effect as if they were applied to heterosexuality.
