cr33: I disagree with you that violence is necessary to effect change, and certainly not the kind that's initiated by the group seeking that change.

Historically, the violence that has accompanied successful movements, from civil rights, to anti-war, to Arab Spring, has come from government, in one form or another, and occasionally from the opponents of those movements who are sympathetic to (and sometimes conscripted by) those governments.

Sadly, to effect any sort of meaningful change some people are going to need to be hurt, and considerable damage done. Sitting around singing kumbaya is good for precisely two things: jack and shit.

All that aside, at least there's *something* happening instead of the apathy I've come to expect in the face of the rise of corporatism and the erosion of our constitutional rights.
