While what you asy is true for what you need an id card for, none of those things are fundamental rights. You don't have to fly, you don't have to have a bank account.

Kids use fake licenses everyday. I said that it is virually impossible to impersonate some voting, without being caught, because you never know when and if the real person will vote or not.

This procedure, in itself is a stringent deterrant to voter impersonation.

You stepped in it and you can't clean it up.

Great explanation. That is why, even without a state photo id, it is virtually impossible to impersonate another voter and not be caught.

The same information that is on your registration card is in the registration database. When you present your photo i.d. they match it to your registration information in the database, so it is effectively the same as looking at your card.

Freedom of elections and to vote in the precinct assigned. That simply means that a person should be and the state has the power to make sure that a perosn is not contrained from voting in their precinct.

Purity of the ballot box: nothing to do with the vote that goes into the box, but, rather the security of those votes, safeguarding, until they are oppened and counted.

You so selectively ignore the balance of Article IV Section 1. After listing the qualifications for voting, Article 1 continues "The General Assembly shall have power to enact laws requiring voters to vote in the election precincts in which they may reside, and laws to secure the freedom of elections and the purity of the ballot box."

Note the part about the "purity of the ballot box."

Voting absentee should be her choice, not a mandate.

She was fortunate, a lot of elderly black people born in the south have no record of live birth. What then?

The federal constitution does not an give express right to vote, however it is implied.

Anyway, kudos to Jesse for going down and getting her photo i.d. at the age of 91. She could vote absentee if she wants to, but apparently she is willing to do whatever it takes to go out and vote in person.
