Actually, it is really nice to our elected representatives (you know, the ones who we elect to make decisions in this democratic republic of ours) come out an subject themselves to questions by the free press ( you know, that free press that Mr. Holder apparently does not like so much)

I will tell you that talks are already underway between the Elected Seven and the county leaders. Unless Judge Mays allows the SCC to appoint six new members immediately, there is going to be a period of time, a window of opportunity, for an agreement between the county leaders and the Elected Seven.

If you really believe that the Elected Seven, as an elected body, cannot make a contract with the county leaders, file that agreement with the federal court and have it stick, you are living in a dream world.

I am sure that arrangements could have and should have been made to accommodate Parker.

By the time I read this article, I had read two other articles discussing the national trend. I think it's a combination of generational and economic factors.

We don't know how much of my generation wants to be tied to a mortgage, because for most of our careers we as a generation have had a hard time finding and keeping jobs.

When the economy has completely recovered, we will find out how much is economically driven versus generationally driven.

As far as Germantown is concerned, when I look on my immediate neighborhood streets, the houses are moving.

Why are you so skeptical about facts from credible sources when it does not agree with your way of thinking?

I don't care how you parse it, the fact is that there is a movement of people, especially generation y, that are preferring to live in urban cities, rather rent than buy. Google the internet on the subject and articles will buttress this.

If the articles I read are accurate, then it's the economy that's currently driving the shift to urban centers, which would mean that a recovery would lead to a shift back to suburbs. Now I really do wish Memphis well.

Just back from out of town.

It is funny that when I tried to convince Grovereb84 about the population of Memphis, he and most of you readers laughed at me. Well, what more do I need to say?

There are many people who wants to see Memphis as a dying city, but, it won't happen. As the economy gets better, Memphis' population will either maintain or go up, albeit gradually, keeping up with the new jobs.

The problem with you suburbanites is that you only look at things through your partisan eyes.
