"After conferring with the state attorney general's office, Hargett and State Election Coordinator Mark Goins said they notified Shelby County Administrator of Elections Richard Holden to allow properly registered voters who present the library photo ID cards to vote. "However, they will vote a provisional ballot.

Another slanted view by the great ArlingtonPop.

Ap says that these will be provisional ballots and who knows if they will ever be counted pending the result of the AG's appeal.

Ap knows that is not what the decision by the State Court of Appeals says. The appeals courts decision ordered the secretary of state to inform the election officials that they were to accept the library cards as acceptable form of id and cited the law.

This stuff about provisional ballots is something that the AG put in himself pending his appeal to the State Supreme Court on Friday.

Me, personally, and that is just my opinion is that, the State Supreme Court will either not hear the case or set up a full hearing after this election.

So the latest news is that the Election Commission has been instructed to permit those persons presenting only library cards as ID to vote. But only by provisional ballot.

Whether or not those ballots ever are counted will be determined by the result of the AG's appeal.

So you pays yer money and you takes yer chance, as far as what ID you choose to present.

Most interesting to tally the number of such provisional ballots after the election.

I notice that you think that the Huffington Post election polls are not credible.

Huffington Post does not poll. Huffington Post uses a compilation of all of the independent polls to make projections and to keep up with the state of the race.

However, if you don't like the Huffington Post forecast, may I suggest that you peruse, Nate Silver's 538.

Well, chalk up a victory for the inept people of Memphis. So much for the talk that Memphis professionals, legal and political are lightweights.

We were never trying to entirely dismantle the voting id law, we were just trying to make it less restrictive with letting more alternate forms of id suffice.

We don't want msds in Shelby County, however, if there are to be msds, let it be done constitutionally correct.
