I am afraid that is exactly what he is doing.

Remember what he said a couple of weeks ago?

That he has told his son to use violence if his son feels he is not getting enough respect?

And so the hate, resentment, anger, and willingness to use force as a solution is passed on from generation to generation.

I was thinking the other day that if you took his posts, changed "white" to "black", "white Republican" to "black Democrat", and those other words you can figure out for yourself, he would sound amazingly like David Duke.

Dr. King gave his life for this?

The anger accomplishes nothing, and honestly it saddens me. As ive said many times I hope he and others with his view are not successfully passing the anger and hate on to the next generation.

I agree with you 100%.

Those that continue to insist that homosexuals have somehow "chosen"to be gay are in the grip of a fundamentalist theological dilemma.

They insist, as a tenant of their fundamentlist belief system, that the Bible must be taken at face value, ( Martin Luther called it taking the Bible in its "natural sense", modern fundamentalists use the word "inerrant") that it is literally God's words, and moveover, handwritten by God himself.

All of which is hardly the position of Christianity as a whole or for that matter, historically the way Christians have traditionally viewed the Bible's message. These fundamentalist beliefs did not come into full fruit, and gain wide acceptance, until the time of the Protestant Reformation.

But believing that if the Bible literally condemns homosexual behavior as sin, and since sin must be a choice, then homosexual behavior must therefore be a choice.
