It is still weird to see Memphis in a bons fide professional league, with names of other major cities like New York, Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles, rather than Jackson, Birmingham, Tupelo and Hooterville.

If Memphis can stay healthy, they can possibly go all the way. Personally, I could not care less except that I think it would be good for a hard luck city like Memphis who has nothing else except Elvis and smoked pork meat.

After all the years of lackluster effort by OJ Mayo, it is a pleasure to see a bench happy to play "Hollins Ball." Chris Wallace has mastered the art of finding players rejected by other teams who thrive in this system, from Speights and Pondexter to Bayless and Ellington.
