I have ben fortunate enough ( or maybe partially unfortunate) to be a part of organizations led by both the types you describe.<br>
<br>
I wish it were that simple, that one side is good and one bad.<br>
<br>
Sometimes even the best CEOs are caught up in economic situations not of their own making and are forced into survival mode. I personally obverved a CEO in tears as he had to lay off his employees and I have seen another who was the most callous bastard I have ever seen do the same thing with absolute indifference.<br>
<br>
Unions can be a great thing when the market value, and compensation, of their employees is not being realized.
