In the simplest terms, both cuts in spending and increased revenue from upper income taxpayers are useful, but neither is anything more than a patch to our fiscal problems.

The real solution is to get our workers back to work. The increase in the amount of taxes collected, and the decrease in need to fund our social safety net are greatly inhanced if we can substantially decrease the unemployment rate.

Anyone who take a publication, TV show, radio show, paper or any other form of media at face value, not recognizing that an agenda may be in play, is a fool. It is all too easy, and all too tempting to take the truth out of context, slant it, twist it, leave out part of it and yet still present it as your gospel.

Well, I gave you the original budget numbers, where they came from, and how they were effected by budget negotiations between the House, Senate, and President Obama.

I showed you how the resulting expenditures were bundled into appropriations bills that passed both houses of Congress and were signed into law by President Obama. I even linked to the Library of Congress so you could see where those bills were passed.

I destroyed your proposition that these were resolutions without the force of law.

That type of left thinking and supporting arguments with left-leaning sources, to me, is not much different than the right-thinkers who take Fox News reports and articles as gospel truth.

The only difference for the left thinker is there are A LOT more mainstream media sources to pull from that support a left-leaning bias.

Personally, that's one reason I hate to watch the news or read the news, and it's one reason that when I do see a report, I try to figure out the bias and go to another source that tells the story from the other perspective, so that I can try to figure out where the middle ground really is. If you want to believe Obama is infalable, you can certainly find enough sources out there to support your belief. If you want to believe Obama is a Marxist or a socialist, you can certainly find sources to support that belief as well, though there are fewer of them in the mainstream due to the natural left-lean of the media as a whole.

Here are two articles on the funding cut by the House GOP on embassy security. The one on Huffington Post is really important for it contains an inteveiw, CNN video with the GOP Congressman sayin it out of his onw mouth.

The other article by Salon.com, explains how the Department of Defense has muscled its way into funding for defense of embassies by the Department of State.

The budgets that you reference are resolutions only; they have no relationship to actual appropriations. Budget resolutions are a blueprint only, with no force of law.
