Little-known fact about an American icon: In the early 1940s, Dr. Seuss was an editorial cartoonist for PM, a progressive newspaper that vocally opposed American isolationist policies regarding the rise of Nazi power. @Drift, I enjoy a good political cartoon, but the same impact can be achieved through other mediums these days and possibly with a bit more depth in some cases.

The whole point of a political cartoon is to illustrate something that's current politically and possibly put an entertaining twist on it. I don't see how a change in medium makes it any different.
