It definitely stinks to high heaven.

It sounds to me like police training and processes need to be refreshed with MPD officers.

If I recall, there were supposedly some failures in procedure in Officer Lang's death as well. There are reasons why the police are trained to handle situations in certain ways.

It sounds to me like the officers were bored and looking for something since the noise complaint didn't check out. It's a shame this happened.

This smells to high heaven.

This man had a clean record and had gone through the necessary training to get a carry permit. I have a carry permit.

I would imagine that the MPD is trying to keep this as quiet as possible.

As for officials and/or local civic groups, being that this was reported that the youg man had a gun and was in the Aspenwood Apartments, not a good place to live, they assumed that he was selling drugs or something.

Once the information gets out, having a permit to carry a gun, which was never mentioned by the MPd, a clean criminal record, you will see an outcry.

The MPD is probably trying to dumb down any possible witnessess to this incident.
