justice IS blind.

The ability to convince the judge or jury that the individual being tried is innocent is still up to that individual and his wallet and NOT the taxpayer. Or, like I said on previous comments, you should help those lawyers out by paying to defend some of the black criminals being convicted.

A good trial lawyer can do wonders when he is well greased.

do you also hold an honorary “doctorate” or PhD in theology that provides a much needed tag that indicates being well educated and wise to unsuspecting academics and laymen alike? They have always been useful in shoring ones credibility but not a real test for being able to reason or comprehend simple issues of accounting or even civics.

Lesson ONE; spend the hard earned taxpayer’s money wisely.
Lesson TWO; try not to act stupid or incompetent.

Really, those are the only two lessons a city council member, public servant or mayor should do to be effective.

While not an attorney, especially one who specializes in "contract law",

“The annual budget of each local government with notes outstanding shall be submitted to the state director of local finance immediately upon its adoption."

The "notes outstanding" may indeed include unfunded liabilities not necessarily coming due in the fiscal year. I know you would like to believe your "loophole" solves a problem, they rarely do and your's doesn't.

Please explain where in ACA I can find "those funds previously held for the health care of retirees will now revert to those who have had a fiduciary responsibility to administer them, to do with as they wish." I don't believe you can.

There are some things that people that have never worked at FEDEX don't know. When FEDEX was going to lose the post office business it was to take quite a hit on earnings.

You probably already have an idea of the growth rate.

I think the point that John was making is similar to the one I have been saying, property taxes are not the main reason why people choose to live where they live.

The other factor, such as Memphis' minimal growth rate can be attributed to jobs, economic conditions.

Actually I think, if you had even bothered to check, you will find that Lakeland does have a city property tax.

Perhaps you could redeem yourself, since you are the one who raised the issue, and give us the relative growth rates of the cities you referenced.
