As already noted, the city needs to require all Animal Control Officers to do their jobs and enforce all of the current laws (license, cruelty, etc.), or those employees need to be replaced with people who will actually do the jobs they are being paid for.

Taxpayers should be complaining to the city about the hundreds of thousands of dollars in salaries to Animal Control Officers who are not doing their jobs and nothing is being done about them not doing their jobs!

What Memphis - the Mayor and City Hall - DOES need to do is hold Animal Control Officers accountable for NOT doing their jobs because they are not enforcing the current law.
