A soul-themed fund-raising dinner for the Stax Music Academy. Each of the six courses is set to an iconic Stax song, performed by academy students. (The second course is pan-fried Atlantic sole with a lemon caper beurre blanc and parsnip puree accompanied by Wilson Pickett’s “In the Midnight Hour.”) There will also be nine wines for sampling as well as chocolates designed specifically for the event by P. Ashley Rix of Chocistry.
