Shortly after The Commercial Appeal endorsed failed presidential candidate John Kerry, a memo went out from Shelby County Republican Women (SCReW, for short) suggesting that all dyed-in-the-wool GOPers should immediately cancel their subscriptions to the worthless liberal rag. Shortly thereafter signs such as this one cropped up around town.Now the Fly has been known to give the CA a lump or two, but this accusation is positively bizarre. Our union-busting, profit-conscious daily paper may be a lot of things, but it sure as heck isn't run by communists. -- Chris Davis
