One Democrat, G.A. Hardaway, and one Republican, Richard E. Morton, filed unopposed in their primaries as candidates for the District 92 state House seat vacated by Shelby County Commissioner Henri Brooks. The general election for both seats will be held on March 13th.
Clinton said Ford's victory was necessary as a part of long overdue political change in Washington. On Iraq, Clinton disputed Republican allegations that Democrats wanted to "cut and run," saying, "What we want to do is stop and think."
