A release party for A Taste of Memphis Music
, a cookbook compiled by the Memphis & Shelby County Music Commission. Musicians, music fans, and prominent Memphians contributed recipes. Among them: A C Wharton (strawberry cobbler); Pat Kerr Tigrett (Memphis martini); Hudson & Saleeby (cold black-eyed pea salad); and food activist Bryant Terry (citrus collards with raisins redux).
Wharton will be at the event, and there will be live music from Nancy Apple, Vicki Loveland, and Lila.
Proceeds from book sales go the Memphis Musicians’ Healthcare Plan.
