An exhibit focusing on the importance of community invol
vement developed by Facing History and Ourselves. Civic game-changers like the Little Rock Nine and the desegregation of that city’s Central High School in 1957 are covered, and there’s also a local aspect with “pARTicipation: Young Artists Speak Up,” featuring artwork by area 6th- to 12th-graders, and “Upstanders: Portraits of Courage,” photographs and stories from local individuals who’ve made a difference.
