This fund-raiser features music by Jim Pettit and Friends on the trading floor of the Memphis Cotton Exchange. The price of admission includes an open bar and hors d’oeuvres. “Laid by” refers to the cultivated, thinned out crops that are ready to grow to maturity and eventual harvesting.
