David Banner in New Batman Movie? 

Will area rapper David Banner join Heath Ledger as a baddie in the latest Batman movie?

Banner, who appeared in Craig Brewer's Black Snake Moan told MTV News that he has auditioned for a role in the next Batman movie directed by Christopher Nolan. Christian Bale will return as Batman, and Ledger will play the Joker. Banner is vying for the part of Gamble.

Says Banner, "I promise this to the 'hood. ... If I get this part, I'm gonna smack Batman in the face."

According to the story, Banner will know if he's gotten the part in the next two weeks. The film is scheduled to hit theaters next summer.
