Opening reception for “Fat Tuesday at Dixie’s,” which features photographs of New Orleans by Jack Robinson. The show includes black-and-white photos of Mardi Gras festivities and its celebrants, including Clay Shaw, who was later tried for the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
“Fat Tuesday at Dixie’s” was originally curated by Sarah Wilkerson Freeman of Arkansas State University in 2005 and opened shortly after Hurricane Katrina hit. That show’s run was cut short. This newly revived version features video interviews with Freeman.
