Fortunately for Tennessee authorities, the guns weren't cleverly hidden in a bar amid all the safe legal firearms. And speaking of bars ...

80 Strikes

Shelby County district attorney and gubernatorial wannabe Bill Gibbons recently joined with Memphis Police director Larry Godwin to announce that the MPD's organized crime unit had closed two local taverns and filed public nuisance actions against the owners of Hughes Uptown and the High Point Pinch Bar and Grill.

A petition filed against Hughes Uptown states that police were dispatched to the club more than 80 times between March 2008 and March 2009 to investigate "robberies, shootings, assaults, drug usage, and theft." That adds up to once a week and twice every other week. "The nightclub had its one chance to operate in a legal, legitimate manner," Gibbons noted in a press release.

Jablonski, with help from the ACLU, is fighting local statutes that "violate free speech" and the right to be Elvis any damn where you please.
