Fly on the Wall

Editorialized

Miss Manners would be appalled. Party pooper Joseph Hayes was charged with aggravated assault when he revealed a handgun tucked into his pants after his children didn't get any cake or ice cream at a birthday party. Hayes told the host, "I ain't scared to go to jail. Just take care of my kids."

Facebooked

Facebook ads never make any sense. I mean, who in Memphis goes house-tipping anymore?

Tourist Attraction

The Zippin Pippin replica at Green Bay's Bay Beach Amusement Park attracted 14,000 riders over the Memorial Day weekend, which is double the number city officials expected. Maybe Memphis should think about building one of those.

Dirty Business

Fox 13 News reporter Lauren Lee is suing TheDirty.com owner Nik Richie for $50 million after he posted fake nude photographs of her. Richie's response: "$49 million wasn't enough?"

Our Bad

Fly on the Wall is an equal opportunity teaser. Over the weekend, memphisflyer.com readers who clicked on a story about locally produced Indian sauces were taken instead to a YouTube video titled "Paula Deen Takes Ludes and Makes Food." The slowed down clip, which shows Deen putting a hamburger between two glazed donuts and flipping out over how delicious it is, is funny, but we regret the error.
