Ford Takes Job As Jeter Stand-In (Spoof)

DLC chairman/Merrill Lynch executive/Vanderbilt professor Harold Ford Jr. is adding yet another job to his increasingly extensive portfolio.

At a press conference Friday, the former Memphis congressman and erstwhile Tennessee senatorial candidate announced that he is accepting an offer from New York Yankee owner George Steinbrenner to become a stunt double for Yankee shortstop Derek Jeter (right), handling mostly public relations appearance in lieu of the baseball star.

“After all, we were separated at birth,” Ford said. “Now do I get to hang with Jessica Biel, too?”
