Our Own Voice Theatre Company opens its production of Red Pain(t) at TheatreWorks tonight. There are are art openings at Studio 1688 for works by four photographers; Universal Gallery for photographs by J. Michael Whitaker; and Collector s Corner at Carrefour Center for work by Nettie Strockbine. The Memphis Grizzlies play Phoenix tonight at The Pyramid. As part of Black History Month, The WLOK Story a documentary about Memphis own pioneer black-owned radio stations is showing at First Congregational Church tonight, Saturday night, and Sunday afternoon. There s a special Jet Set Layover in Rio: A 1-year Anniversary Celebration at Automatic Slim s with a night of hot Brazilian music. The Sophisticats and Cast Iron Skillet are at Young Avenue Deli. There s a West Memphis Three Fund-raiser at the Hi-Tone. And, as always, The Chris Scott Band is at Poplar Lounge.
