The Commercial Appeal ran a story on Friday, November 22nd, about the possibility of creating a specially trained police squad for the Beale Street entertainment district. the bizarre headline for an otherwise uneventful bit of straight reporting read, "Dude! Police May Join Beal-icious Fun Scene -- 'Party On'Zone Could Get Own Special Squad." Should such a squad come into existence, perhaps they could pay a little visit to the CA>, whose building backs up to Beale. Based on this headline, we have reason to believe there may be drugs on he premises.
