Kickin' It in Boston 

A former Tiger football player turned NFL rookie has a starting gig – and his name isn’t DeAngelo. Martin “Automatica” Gramatica was cut yesterday by the New England Patriots, losing a training camp battle with ex-Tiger Steven Gostkowski for starting kicker duties. Gostkowski, a fourth-round pick by the Patriots in this year’s draft, will replace the big right boot of Adam Vinatieri, who left New England for the Indianapolis Colts this offseason. More here.
