Lyricist Lounge at the Hi-Tone Café

A host of local hip-hop acts comes together at the Hi-Tone Café this week for Lyricist Lounge, a show organized by Memphis/St. Louis DJ Nina Stakz, who will also be distributing a mixtape at the concert featuring the performing artists. Among the local MCs on board is promising young MC Preauxx (pictured), who shows growth on his confident new single "Monday Morning," nimble-voiced Pat24Seven, gruff and humorous scene vet Jason Da Hater, and charismatic female MC Dutchess. Others scheduled to perform include Ray Rebel, Cerioso, Sunny Mark, Vee Ayee, Rara Superstar, Jeditruth, and Web. The Lyricist Lounge goes down at the Hi-Tone Café Thursday, February 2nd. Doors open at 7 p.m., and showtime is scheduled for 8 p.m. for this blessedly earlier than normal event. Admission is $5.
