MEDIA ALERT

On November 15, 2001 in a story titled Johnny, Be Good , the Memphis Flyer made fun of super attorney Johnny Cochran without once referencing the famous, If it does not fit you must acquit, line. This is the first known lampooning of Cochran not to include some bowdlerization of the litigator s popular catch phrase since the infamous words were first uttered during the O.J. Simpson trial. It is widely believed that nobody was paying attention.
