Memphis Rock 'n Soul Museum Honors Isaac Hayes

The Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum hosts the first of its two “Memphis Music Salute” receptions scheduled for 2007 on Saturday, March 17, from 5 until 7 p.m., honoring Memphis music and Stax soul legend, Isaac Hayes.

The museum will present Hayes with a plaque. An autographed duplicate of the plaque will be placed on permanent display in the museum, alongside the plaques for the two 2006 “Memphis Music Salute” honorees, The Bar-Kays and Three 6 Mafia.

Immediately following the reception, Hayes will be recognized at center court at the NBA Memphis Grizzlies home game against the Chicago Bulls. Tickets for the “Memphis Music Salute” reception honoring Hayes are $50, and can be purchased by calling (901) 205-2536.
