On Saturday, June 5th, The Commercial Appeal ran a pair of front-page photos honoring 1989 s ill-fated pro-Democracy protest in Beijing s Tiananmen Square. The pictures and headline took up twice the space of the actual page-eight story. More troubling, considering that Tiananmen Square ended with the slaughter of hundreds of protesters by the Chinese military, was the CA s touchy-feely headline: "Tiananmen forever. Whose yearbook were the editors signing anyway?
