Official Statement from the Memphis Grizzlies: 

"Grizzlies forward Pau Gasol suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his left foot in Spain's victory over Argentina in the semifinals of the FIBA World Championships. Gasol will require surgery to repair the injury and additional information regarding the surgery will be released later in the week once details are finalized."

    John Calipari, that is. Turns out the U of M's basketball coach is in his hometown of Pittsburgh for this week's major-league baseball All-Star Game at Heinz Field.
