David Dorfman Dance company puts the funk of Sly & the Family Stone to motion with this tribute to the troubled soul songster. Recently re-admitted to rehab after years in drug-addled obscurity, Stone made some of the best-sounding music of the early 1970s. Dorfman wants to unite music and dance to “invite everyday people to find ardor in the muck and the mess — the funk — of life.” Who can argue with that? To reserve a ticket, call 678-2350.
