Rename the RiverKings

The Memphis RiverKings announced last week that they're considering a name change for the hockey team, and they'd like some input.

However, it's the not the "RiverKings" part of the name that's at issue, it's "Memphis." Apparently, since the team's move to north Mississippi seven years ago, continuing to call the team the Memphis RiverKings has struck many as odd.

Visitors to the team's web site can vote on one of five options: Desoto RiverKings, Memphis RiverKings, Mid-South RiverKings, Mississippi RiverKings, and Southaven RiverKings.

Voting will be open through June 30th. An announcement about the name will be made on July 2nd.
