Rick Ankiel Called Up to the Cardinals

After smashing 32 homers in 102 games as a Memphis Redbird, former pitching phenom Rick Ankiel is heading back to the big leagues. The outfielder will be in uniform Thursday night when St. Louis hosts the San Diego Padres.

"I know there will be a lot of people around here with goose bumps. He's been one of the most popular players in the clubhouse and around the organization since he first arrived."
