At The Dixon Gallery and Gardens today, there s the Memphis Print Club Fine Art Print Show and Sale, as well as Symphony in the Gardens, a concert by the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and picnic contest to close out the orchestra s 50th season. Today s big Memphis Jazz and Arts Festival in Overton Square features an artists market, strolling performers, a children s area, and live music on multiple stages; benefits Memphis College of Art. Back at the Lounge, Jason D. Williams is playing tonight. Di Anne Price & Her Boyfriends are at the Blue Monkey. Lucero and Crooked Fingers are at the Hi-Tone, where, by the way, they are serving up some really good food and offering happy hour specials. Dwight Yoakam is at the Horseshoe Casino tonight. And today s big, big deal is the Soulsville Cleanup Day in Soulsville U.S.A., the area home to LeMoyne-Owen College, the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, and many, many other wonderful parks, businesses, and communities that are by far the most interesting in the city of Memphis.
