If you're out shopping today, head over to CafÇ de France inside the Palladio Antique Marketplace on Central for live music from noon to 2:30 p.m. by the Joyce Cobb Trio. Tonight's Zoo Rendezvous at the Memphis Zoo is one of the biggest parties of the year in Memphis, with lots of food and drinks by area restaurants, along with live music honoring this year's 50th anniversary of rock-and-roll. Proceeds benefit the zoo. Mofro and The Greyhounds are at the Hi-Tone tonight. The Melvins and Trevor Dunn's Trio Convulsant are at the New Daisy. The Reba Russell Band is at Patrick's. The Reverend Horton Heat is at Young Avenue Deli. And if you haven't been to the newly reopened Buccaneer, check it out tonight with live music by Jim Duckworth's Action Figures.

  • Scotched and Trumped!

I've been trying not to write much about Donald Trump because the idiot is getting way too much publicity, but I figured not many people pay attention to me, so I'm not adding to the media frenzy that much when I state that I really do think he might be the Antichrist.
