Today is Opening Day at Mud Island, so if you want to be out in the springtime weather, head down and, well, do something there. If nothing else, have drinks at River Terrace and watch the sunset. Back down in Tunica, Alabama is playing at the Grand Casino. And back here at home, yes, Elton John & Billy Joel are playing at The Pyramid. If you missed The Stumblers (lots of veteran Memphis musicians) at last weekend s Rites of Spring at Rhodes, or if you did catch them and want to hear them again, they are at the Hi-Tone tonight. Mad Diesel, 7 Bit, HKHQ, Second Mile, and 7$Sox are at the Map Room (I ve never heard of any of those bands, but there s bound to be something good with that many playing). And back at Young Avenue Deli, it s live music by Lucero.
