One more art opening well, closing, actually today: This one is for the BFA Exhibition at Memphis College of Art. And speaking of art, one of today s festivals is the Art Farm Studio Tour at Marshall and Monroe. If you ve never been to this, you ll be surprised. There are lots of galleries and studios in the area, some visible from the street and well known (Marshall Arts Gallery, Delta Axis Contemporary Art Gallery), but many are tucked away in alleys and in warehouses. It s a very cool little pocket of artists and there will be live music by Lucero and it s fun. Another great festival is today s Third Annual Madison Heights International Street Festivalin the neighborhood near Madison and Cleveland, Memphis most diverse community; features food, dance, music, and entertainment from a variety of cultures.
