Robert Sillerman, the billionaire who last year bought an 85 percent stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises, plans to demolish Heartbreak Hotel across the street from Graceland. In its place he’ll build two 400-room hotels, convention space, restaurants, and an amphitheatre.
Meanwhile, on the Las Vegas strip, the entrepreneur envisions an “interactive” Elvis exhibit and is pondering whether to crack down on the King’s impersonators, suggesting they may need to be “authorized.”
The idea prompted one impersonator to comment: “I have this image of old ladies going to underground shows and giving passwords at the door.” Read more here.
