Tanner to Chair NATO Delegation

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has favored one Memphis congressman, the 9th District’s Steve Cohen, with his choice of committees (Judiciary and Transportation), has now conferred a signal honor on another, the 8th District’s John Tanner, whom she has named chairman of the House-appointed U,.S. delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which next meets in Brussels in February. Tanner represents north Shelby County and much of Frayser and Raleigh.
