What They Said

About "The Rant" and the changing face of Facebook:

"Abandon all hope, Randy. The words 'enjoy' and 'Facebook' have no business appearing or being uttered within three words of each other (unless the second word is 'deleting'). 'Alte kockers' are becoming the biggest demographic? If that doesn't tell you FB has passed its sell-by date, nothing will. How much more regimentation and privacy invasion will it take for FBers to realize who/what's really behind it? Zuckerberg, Schmuckerberg; Orwell and Huxley are smirking in their graves."

About "Running It Down" and a preview of the upcoming municipal election:

"The poor socialization of some in my district is a direct result of misguided programs established to smooth over the transition from a manufacturing economy to a largely unemployed post-industrial economy. Teach a fella' to fish, I always say."
sbanbury

About "Four Dogs Saved from Death Row at Memphis Animal Services":

"I just happened to be at the animal shelter to bail out my son's dog when one of the workers brought out on a leash this 'round hound' that was scheduled to be put down the next day. I did not have enough money to get both dogs released and the workers cut me some slack on the cost. I brought him home and he is the funniest thing on four legs."

Comment of the Week:

"This is the third straight year the anal bleaching industry has been snubbed in the 'Best of Memphis' poll. I'm done with you, Flyer."
— Smitty Patterson
