WHAT'S IN A NICKNAME II

Lamenting the sorry state of Greer Stadium, the aging facility that has been home to the Nashville Sounds since Old Shep was a pup, Nashville Scene writer Bill Carey alludes to the success of Autozone Park, saying, Memphis built a new stadium for its minor-league team. Now the Memphis Flyers bring in almost a million fans a year three times the Sounds attendance and more fans than the Titans could possibly draw for its 10 annual home games. Go Flyers!
