Who Loves You, Baby? 

A number of special holiday dinners begin over the weekend for those who can’t go out on a school night. Capriccio Grill’s meal kicks off Friday and runs through today, as do those at Chez Philippe and eighty3. At Capriccio Grill, it’s three courses and a split of champagne for $75 (5-10 p.m., 529-4199). At Chez Philippe, it’s four courses for $100 sans wine, $130 with (6-10 p.m., 529-4188). Eighty3 is also offering four courses for the love-struck, $80. The dishes are designed to be shared (5:30-11 p.m., 333-1224).

On the 14th, Itta Bena, above B.B. King’s, is offering a four-course meal, plus music by Grace Askew and Davis Coen, $69.99 (5 p.m., 578-3031). And for those folks who say “let’s do lunch” and mean it, there’s today’s “Lunch of Love” in the Presentation Room at L’École Culinaire, $45. The three-course meal comes with a gift at the end (11 a.m.-2 p.m., 754-7115).

But wait, there’s more: Funny bones will want to check the Valentine’s Day Comedy Jam featuring Memphis’ own Spank E at the New Daisy, $10 (7 p.m.). At the Rumba Room, it’s Sax Therapy, featuring music by saxophonist Marque, $12 at the door (7 p.m.).
