Tennesee and Saudi Arabia have more in common than you might think.

In this handy-dandy map, U.S. state names are replaced with countries — yes, countries! — that have a similar gross domestic product (GDP).

With a GDP of $286 billion, Tennessee rivals the nation with the 25th-largest GDP, Saudi Arabia. (California tops the list with an overall GDP as large as that of 8th-ranked France.)

The map isn’t weighted by population, but who cares? Take that, Mississippi/Chile! And take note, Governor Bandar Bredesen.
